Manfred Stromberg

 

 

Manfred Stromberg grew up on bikes in Duisburg, Germany. He was one of the best German BMX and Mountainbike Downhill racers, and a member of the national team in both sports. Manfred still is a professional Mountainbike ambassador and tester for many renowned companies. 

His passion for photography was evoked by shooting BMX in the 80´s. Soon he became an editor and photographer for international BMX Magazines. Manfred studied Film and Photo Design at Fachhochschule (Senior Technical College) Dortmund from ´94 to ´99.

“I love to compose reality into an aesthetic picture. This helps us to realize the story hidden in a specific moment.“

 

For his pictures Manfred prefers natural light and an authentic style.

His ambition is to find balanced compositions even in the hectic surroundings of sports and events, where he needs to work fast.

Although Manfred´s roots are in bicycle and sports photography he has far wider interests. He loves the outdoors, architecture, culture and documentary photography. The curious and open minded photographer always tries to capture the beauty of WHAT IS.

The father of two lives, rides his bikes and works in Innsbruck, Austria.
